 Heat Stroke

Ferrets do not have well-developed sweat glands and are prone to heat stroke. Clinical signs include panting and inactivity. Hot and humid conditions should be minimized by air circulation and/or cooling. Optimum temperatures are 40-65?F with a humidity range of 40-65%.
